Every dinner starts with a crossing. The doorway into a room of strangers, the pause before you’re in. That moment asks something of you, and Threshold is named for it.
September turns the season. Everyone who walks in is mid-crossing from something, the end of one chapter, the start of another, a version of themselves they’re leaving behind. Nobody has to name what. You come as you are, and the table is what’s waiting on the other side.
One long table, a family-style meal, and a room of strangers, a few of whom leave as friends. The food slows the night down and gives your hands something to do while the conversation finds its footing. The card you keep carries the rest.
