Somewhere Between Home
A Sunday, Somewhere
November 15, 2026 | Millport, San Diego
Some of our most meaningful memories happen around a dinner table.
The dishes we grew up eating. The recipes passed between generations. The Sunday dinners that brought everyone together, even when there wasn’t a special occasion.
Somewhere Between Home is our love letter to those traditions.
Join Dinner With Strangers Co. for an intimate, family-style dinner celebrating the culinary connections between Black America, Nigeria, Haiti, and Jamaica.
Rather than a traditional plated dinner, we’ll gather around a shared table, passing bowls and platters filled with food that tells stories of heritage, migration, family, and belonging.
The Menu
To Begin
Nigerian Meat Pies
Haitian Pork Griot with Pikliz
The Sunday Table
Jamaican Curry Chicken
Slow-Braised Oxtails
Louisiana Red Beans & Rice
Southern Baked Mac & Cheese
Smothered Collard Greens
Buttermilk Cornbread
Something Sweet
Warm Bread Pudding with Bourbon Caramel & Vanilla Bean Cream
The Experience
Expect generous food, thoughtful conversation, new connections, and the kind of Sunday dinner that makes you want to stay at the table a little longer.
Come solo, bring a friend, or arrive ready to meet someone new. Everyone has a seat at our table.
Food is the vehicle. Conversation is the catalyst. Community is the destination.
Please share any dietary restrictions or food allergies before the event. Menu accommodations are subject to availability.
NO REFUNDS! Tickets may be transferred 7 days BEFORE event
